Everything will happen in due time...

I like to keep a positive attitude but life's extremely unpredictable and sometimes my positive attitude can wear off... I just have to bear in mind that you can't dwell on minor things, you have to overcome it - and that builds character.

So anyway I'm just talking about nothing haa.. School has started which explains the lack of posts, first week has flown by - I think it's good to get back into the rhythm of things because the holidays just distract me and make me lazy lol. Don't get me wrong, I do miss the holidays so dearly... I also have recently started work experience - I didn't expect to like it so much and once I got into the swing of things, there was nothing holding me back. Things are going well, even though I am dead tired most of the time (as always).

Here are the illustrations to my Child Studies assignment, we had to create an illustration book in a group, my assignment partner and I decided to split the tasks - that she would create the story and I would illustrate since they were our strengths. I'm lucky to have a partner who is so natural when it comes to rhymes. Our story is basically about a lion named Lenard who bullies his friends but his friends forgive him for being nasty and help him conquer his fear of the dark. Our message behind the story is to make children realise that it is okay to get scared, as everyone gets scared (hence the lion character and the title). Maybe I'll post out whole story up when it's done.

I thought I'd share some of my "artwork" since I haven't posted any yet. I usually don't paint for children's illustrations lol I prefer experimenting with paint - acrylic and water paints, pens and paper and I tend to lean towards surrealism.
